Pinewood MK1 Short video : |
The
Pinewood MK1 is a medium size survival and bushcraft knife. I have designed it for the need of my survival classes and to fit my own needs : Simple, Functional, Comfortable and Versatile. The blade is convex ground, out of O1 tool steel and has a continuous belly. The tip of the leaf-shaped blade is aligned with the center of the knife for drilling holes, for the hearthboards of friction fire for example. The blade is 5mm thick and the knife has a full tang construction. The handle is Tufnol (comparable to Micarta) for strength and grip, but also to allow the adjunction of the divot. It may be available in wood scales instead, without the bow'n'drill divot. The hammer pommel allows you to crush nuts or to drive pegs in the ground, and many other uses. If you ever find steel wire, you also have a wire breaker to break it down to usable length. Comes standard with a kydex sheath. The knife is built on order in South Africa by Askari Knives, the delay may be up to 5 or 7 weeks. Exceptionally, as this is the first launch, preorders will be collected starting July 1st, date from which runs the 7 week deadline. Every knife is handmade, therefore, slight variations from the pictures may occure.
